Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting for a Maintenance Supervisor in Richland, WA. Navarro is a premier contractor providing high-quality technical services to DOE, NASA, and DOD. This position will support Hanford Laboratory Management and Integration, LLC (HLMI). HLMI is located in Richland, WA, and operates, manages, and maintains the 222-S Laboratory Complex for the Department of Energy. The HLMI members are Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc. (Oak Ridge, TN), and Advanced Technologies and Laboratories International (Gaithersburg, MD). Navarro seeks a Maintenance Supervisor who will be responsible for providing direct oversite of assigned work scope and supervision of Hanford Atomic Metal Trades Council (HAMTC) craft support workforce. The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: * Comply with Hanford Laboratory Management and Integration (HLMI) policies and procedures. * Ensure Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS) principles are incorporated into organization's activities. * Accountable for safety based on the principal of no injuries to anyone. * Set high standards of performance for self and others. * Adhere to the highest standards of ethical business conduct. * Develop effective working relationships with bargaining unit and non-bargaining unit personnel, demonstrating mutual respect and cooperation. * Follow through with commitments. * Plan/execute multiple, complex field activities with a demonstrated record of successful schedule execution. * Ensure work packages are technically correct and capable of being performed safely and efficiently. * Resolve work and safety issues to permit safe and efficient performance of work in the field. * Review and approve maintenance technical procedures (preventive maintenance); conduct field validation of technical procedures * Provide status and communicate work scope at Plan of the Day and Plan of the Week meetings. * Resolve resource and schedule issues. * Provide effective progressive performance management of employee issues; respond to employee issues and concerns and resolve, to the extent practicable, bargaining unit grievance issues. * Provide input to engineering and other organizations for improvement initiatives relating to 222-S facilities and maintenance. * Perform Integrated Contractor Assurance System (iCAS) resolution. * Provide expertise on maintenance issues and evaluations. * Perform pre-job/post-job briefings with craft resources for assigned work scopes * Willingness to work overtime as required. * Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements * Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA) in related field, plus five (5) years of practical work experience in maintenance/construction; or high school diploma/GED plus Journeyman level craft, plus six (6) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Desired Experience: * Bachelors Degree (BS/BA) in related field and 8 years related experience, to include a minimum of 3 years in a supervisor/lead capacity. * Current or previous experience working in a radiological and nuclear facility is highly desirable. * Previous experience with Bargaining Unit employees and Collective Bargain Agreements. * Knowledgeable in Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrument Maintenance and installation.
