Job Description:
COMPANY OVERVIEWIntermech is a subsidiary of publicly traded
EMCOR Group Inc. Intermech is a leader in specialized mechanical
contracting and industrial general contracting working with clients
requiring the highest levels of quality, safety, and project
management expertise.SUMMARYThe ideal candidate will be responsible
for assisting accounting with the quick and efficient processing of
payroll. The ideal candidate must have strong analytical thinking
skills, an attention to detail, and most importantly, the ability
to retain confidential information. Excellent interpersonal skills,
pleasant phone manner, efficient typing ability (data entry), and
familiarity with payroll software. This position also supports the
accounting department with other duties as assigned. This could
include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, cash management and
month-end close processes.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Process and
issue employee paychecks and statements of earnings and pute wages
and deductions, and enter data into computers.Review time sheets,
work charts, wage computation, and other information to detect and
reconcile payroll pile employee time, production, and payroll data
from time sheets and other records.Review, correct and enter time
sheets into database and payroll software for multiple unions and
nonunion employees on a weekly basis; payroll is in-house so this
also includes printing and distribution of checksReview and enter
new hire paperwork data into software and file into employee
personnel files.Process certified payrolls accurately on a weekly
basis.Familiarity with different union fringes and benefits for
processing purposes.Review all I-9's, enter into E-Verify, print
and pass records onto Human Resources for review then file
accordingly.Generate and distribute necessary reports internally
and externally.Gather documentation for company audits on a timely
basis.Process and mail checks for plete employee verifications and
scanning of employee personnel files pursuant to legal
requests.Maintain utmost confidentiality of company ply with I.S.O.
9000:2015 operations work instructions and Company established
policies and procedures.Escalate critical andor sensitive issues to
the CFO with recommendation for resolution.Perform additional
assignments as required by the company or as directed by
management.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, the

EXPERIENCE2 - 5 years working in a payroll capacity, preferably
with other electrical construction or union contractors.Bachelor's
Degree or currently pursuing preferred.Working knowledge of the
construction industry, operations management, and safety practices
a plus.Working knowledge of federal, state, and city regulations
and guidelines.PREFERRED SKILLS and ABILITIESBusiness writing and

interpersonal skillsTime management skills - ability to meet
frequent deadlinesStrategic, analytical, and multi-tasking
skillsAttention to detailExperience with Viewpoint computer
programCOMPUTER SKILLSMust demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft
Office applications, (i.e. Outlook, Word and Excel).Working

Range: $24hour to $27hourOther Compensation: Employees will be
eligible for a discretionary annual as well as eligible to
