Accounts Receivable Specialist provides support to the finance
department by managing daily accounting tasks. You will be part of
a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency
for the company's finances. Must be well-versed in accounting
principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention
to detail. Must be comfortable navigating between multiple software
platforms. Must be comfortable with collections and communicating
with clients directly by phone and email.ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE
SPECIALIST ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creating and maintaining spreadsheets.
- Invoicing and reconciliation for client accounts.
- Communicating with clients regarding their accounts.
- Communicating with clients via phone and email to request
payment or payment arrangements.
- Posting client payments by recording cash, checks, and credit
card transactions.
- Resolving invoice issues/discrepancies.
- Acting as the liaison between client and attorney for billing
issues/questions.
- All other duties as assigned.Requirements: ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE
SPECIALIST MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS*:Proven experience as an
accountant; Excellent organizing abilities and great attention to
detail; Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen;
Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles
and practices; Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity
with relevant computer software (e.g., Xero); A degree in
accounting, finance, or relevant field, is preferred, but no
required. Must have a positive and willing attitude; and a desire
to be part of a growing legal practice that takes pride in making
the legal system uncomplicated, approachable, and accessible to
everyone.*Any equivalent combination of experience and training
which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be
