Job Duties/Scope Of Work The Business System Analysts role is to
plan, design, develop, test, and deploy efficient business
operations systems in support of core organizational functions and
This includes but is not limited to: Support operations of
payroll processing for multiple site contractors. Gathering and
analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and
systems requirements. Generating and compiling reports based on
findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to
systems issues. Collaborate in the planning, design, development,
and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing
applications. Conduct research on software and hardware products to
justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts. Ensure
compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that
address existing and potential trouble areas in operating systems
across the organization. Troubleshooting applications and software
for all internal customers, such as operations, development, and
other business units. Assisting in the design, delivery, and
improvement of in-house software applications training programs and
related courseware. Apply proven communication, analytical, and
problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system
investments. Provide assistance to end users in the organization
about how to use various types of software programs efficiently and
effectively in fulfilling business objectives.
Basic Qualifications BA/BS in Business Administration, Human
Resources, Computer Science, or similar field with 8 years of
experience or an equivalent combination of education and
experience. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application
functional support and/or software maintenance experience.
Experience with enterprise software applications, with specific
qualifications in Human Resources (HR) and Payroll applications.
Experience with Crystal Reports and/or Business Objects platforms.
Experience using SQL programming language and familiar with writing
queries against the HR and Payroll systems. Good analytical and
problem-solving abilities. Keen attention to detail. Excellent
customer service orientation. Excellent written and oral
Desired Qualifications Experience in analyzing system Payroll
Tax Update patches, testing, and deployment. Experience or
familiarity with business systems including: - Timekeeping and
information systems - Employee personal data applications - Payroll
Systems - Procurement or supply chain applications Experience
writing complex reporting solutions with Crystal Reports and/or
Business Objects platforms. Experience with defining requirements
for and using Oracle or SQL Data Mart / Data Warehouse.
