It's where you belong.THE OPPORTUNITY:We are looking for a new Learning and Development Partner I in either Tri-Cities, Spokane, or Seattle-Tacoma to support and grow the organization's efforts in learning and development. We're seeking an empathetic, thoughtful candidate who has enthusiasm for helping team members learn our best-in-class products and services, operational systems, and organizational culture. As a member of the Learning & Development team, you'll have the unique opportunity to enhance the competencies of our team members while designing and conducting training programs that boost workplace performance in alignment with the credit union's core values. Specifically, we're looking for candidates who have experience leading the development and administration of training programs via a blended learning approach including instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, asynchronous eLearning, and on-the-job aids. Ideal candidates will be excellent communicators who can work effectively with our learners, project managers, IT professionals and leadership with little supervision. ACCOUNTABILITIES:* Employee Onboarding and Development (50%) - Delivers new hire, member service, sales, and product training as needed. Creates and maintains new employee onboarding plans and assists with the creation of ongoing employee development plans and learning pathways. Develops and administers the credit union's training programs and coordinates presentations and/or presents programs, determining appropriate instructional method(s) in coordination with subject matter experts. Designs training materials, assessments, and assists in the creation of specific training job aids.* Training Assessment (20%) - Initiates assessments with leaders from all departments to identify training gaps and opportunities. Develops, prepares and conducts innovative training programs to address gaps and reinforce key competencies. Leverages best practices that impact and increase the overall productivity of team members.* Learning Management System (LMS) Administration (20%) - Creates and maintains an engaging virtual learning environment. Designs, develops, and enhances eLearning and video courses, webcasts, and assessments that enhance learner retention and are consistent with the credit union's training priorities.* Training Evaluation (10%) - Tracks the progress of learners through course evaluations, routine assessments, observations, and feedback from supervisors. Evaluates the effectiveness of the current training, adjusting program content as necessary. Maintains accurate training records and documentation.Must maintain a solid working knowledge of the credit union's vision, values, strategic initiatives, systems, policies, and procedures. Must comply with applicable laws and regulation, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the USA PATRIOT Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. SKILLS/ABILITIES:* Basic knowledge of training fundamentals including facilitation of practical exercises, material development, presentation methods, evaluation techniques, scheduling, and coordination.* Strong oral and written communication, facilitation, and presentation skills with the ability to engage, motivate, influence, and coach. * Ability to design and implement effective training and development, familiar with adult learning and retention strategies.* Possesses an analytical mindset; organized and detail oriented.* Must be able to maintain composure under pressure and respond quickly to questions, with confidence.* Must possess a strong knowledge of financial institution products, services, and operations.* Proficient in the credit union's operational applications, including teller and lending origination systems. Knowledge of Fiserv DNA and Temenos is desired.* Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate utilization of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with web-based and online training solutions desired.* Consistently display respect for all areas of diversity and levels of knowledge, displaying mutual respect, trust and dignity, acting in the best interest of the credit union at all times.* Perform all duties and maintain all sensitive data with the highest standard of confidentiality and professionalism.JOB REQUIREMENTS:* A combination of education and experience equivalent to a two-year college degree plus two years progressively responsible experience in training, education, human resources, or related field including training coordination and delivery. A four-year degree in Business, Education, Human Resources/Management, or Communications is desirable.* One to three years broad based financial institution experience preferred.* Must possess and display excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.* Must consistently display courtesy, patience, tact and diplomacy.* Must maintain professional demeanor and appearance.* Knowledge of Fiserv DNA and Temenos (loan origination system) is desired.* Independent travel is required to complete duties and attend training as necessary.* A valid Driver's License is required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Per the Dictionary of Occupational Titles, this is considered a sedentary position.* Frequent sitting (31-70%).* Occasional walking and standing (11-30%).* Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. frequently, including negligible forces.* Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. on a seldom basis.* Frequent repetitive hand and wrist motions.WORKING CONDITIONS:* Work environment is indoors, in a clean office area.Gesa Credit Union reserves the right to revise or change the job description as the need arises.
