United States of America - Washington, Richland Job Summary SUMMARY: Reports to a Training Supervisor/Manager and is responsible for execution activities for Plant Operations training development and maintenance using the Focus Learning VISION database and or other custom or ---off the shelf--- databases. The ability to design, develop and implement electronic based tools that enhance the production of training materials or a means of tracking and evaluating training products for effectiveness and departmental compliance . Performs work in accordance with Plant Operations, applicable project procedures, policies, laws, regulations, contract, Authorization Basis, and technical requirements. This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control and supervision of WTCC. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS Administer facility training process activities including: * Develop tools and systems to implement continuous improvement to the training organizations products and processes * Track training material review status * Maintain Vision database reports and documents Administering technical training process activities using various media and software, including: * Developing and Implementing Training (eg classroom, exams, on-the-job training) - analysis, design, development, delivery, testing, and evaluation of training course material: * Conduct needs and job analysis to identify training requirements (eg valid task list, training requirements matrix) * Design training including determination of training setting and development of learning objectives, evaluation standards, and examination test items. * Develop training materials including lesson plans and trainee support materials. * Conduct classroom, on-the-job, simulator and/or laboratory training as applicable. * Assist line management in the evaluation of training program evaluations. * Perform observations and assessments to ensure activities are implemented safely and effectively in accordance with approved procedures. * Support a strong Nuclear Safety Quality Culture (NSQC) by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work in order to protect self, others, and the environment. * This job description is not intended to include every duty, task or instruction for which an employee is responsible. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES * None PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (EFNM) Exposed Field Non-Manual AECOM has joined with Bechtel to create an LLC, known as the Waste Treatment Completion Company (WTCC) to construct, start-up and commission the world---s largest radioactive-waste treatment plant for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in southeastern Washington state. The project will use vitrification technology to process and stabilize 53 million gallons of radioactive and chemical waste currently stored at the Hanford Site which is a byproduct of plutonium-production during World War II and the Cold War era. The project is the largest undertaking of its kind ever and one of DOE---s most technically challenging cleanup projects---equivalent to building two nuclear power plants. Its construction site spans 65 acres and includes facilities for pretreatment, low-activity waste vitrification, and high-level waste vitrification, as well as an analytical laboratory. Minimum Requirements REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS Education/Experience: Minimum Requirements per DOE O 426.2: * Baccalaureate of Arts (BA) Degree NOTE: The instructional analysts/developers should have a baccalaureate degree in Training or Education. Instructional Analysts/Developers must have courses in education or training that focus on instructional analysis, design, development, delivery and testing, as well as evaluation of training programs, if not included in the baccalaureate course material. AND * At least one year job-related experience. Additional WTCC REQUIREMENTS Preferred candidates will have: * At least 8 years technical experience within Information Technology as it pertains to training at Department of Energy Nuclear, or Commercial Nuclear Operations. * Experience in technical training material development. * Proficiency using VISION for training processes * System Administration * SharePoint development * Web based training development This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and works a 4 x 10 schedule, M-Th, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Must be able to work in the United States without Sponsorship Preferred Qualifications NA What We Offer When you join AECOM, you become part of a company that is pioneering the future .
