Description:

Markon Solutions is seeking an Industrial Control Systems (ICS) System Administrator to support one of our Intelligence Community customers. This individual will assist the government with maintaining current systems (servers, desktops and laptops), controlling security patching and upgrades, resolving system outages, and providing system status updates to government leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Installs, upgrades, maintains, and administers software and hardware such as Windows Server 2019/20222, VMWare virtual machines, Windows 10 OS, RHEL 7/8, and Windows desktop software (e.g. web-browsers, Adobe Acrobat, etc.).
• Familiarity with RHEL7/8, command line interface (CLI), RPM management, and troubleshooting.
• Install, configure, monitor, and support a small VMware vSAN environment.
• Support Splunk SIEM platform systems and operations.
• Support jump (bastion) host operation and configuration for access to disparate networks.
• Integrates vendor systems, third party application servers and system software and hardware within a Windows Server environment.
• Provides patch management by reviewing, analyzing, testing, and implementing vendor's proposed changes, upgrades and patches; performs firmware upgrades.
• Patches Windows Servers, Windows Operating Systems (OS), Microsoft applications, and images Windows OS workstations using Microsoft SCCM and WSUS.
• Provides Active Directory (AD) infrastructure server and Group Policy (GPO) administration.
• Assists with platform upgrade activities for VMWare ESXi.
• Coordinates system hardware and software testing with development teams to ensure transparent implementation and appropriate capacity.
• Investigates and proposes solutions for development and customer needs to improve reliability, continuity, and maintainability for Windows systems hardware and software.
• Monitors and ensures that backup data and resilience methods are scheduled and functioning appropriately.
• Resolves and documents resolution for incidents; partners across support teams to ensure continued availability.
• Provides day-to-day Tier 1-3 support and troubleshooting for assigned systems.
• Provisions and loads PKI certificates on servers.
• Maintains change control logs for all systems to document software patches, versioning, and configurations
• Logs tickets and tracks/owns assigned incidents.
• Provides updates to management and project leadership of all ongoing critical issues.
• Other duties as assigned Job Requirements
  • TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Microsoft Project
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical systems degree or higher
  • 6+ years in an IT administration role including Windows Server and VMware vCenter Server in vSAN clusters
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE)
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2019/2022 Certification
  • VMware Certified Professional 7.0 (VCP-DCV 2022/2023; vSAN experience a plus
