CT Tech Location: Hermiston, OR Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,750 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 12 Weeks Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: Diagnostic Imaging Specialty: CT Technologist Duration: 12 weeks Shift: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 years License: Licensed Radiologic Technologist/CT Technologist Certifications: Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in radiography and CT Must-Have: Current BLS certification Description: Provides health care services by applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing images for interpretation by a licensed practitioner. Performs computed tomography and related procedures to demonstrate sectional anatomic images for interpretation by a licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. Essential Job Functions: Performs diagnostic radiography procedures. Corroborates patient's clinical history with the procedure, ensuring information is documented and available for use by a licensed practitioner. Prepares patients for procedures and provides instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety. Selects and operates radiography equipment and associated devices to achieve desired results. Positions patients and equipment to best demonstrate the anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort. Immobilizes patients as required for an appropriate examination. Determines radiographic technique exposure factors, minimizing exposure to patients and others. Evaluates images for technical quality, ensuring proper identification is recorded. Verifies informed consent for, and assists a licensed practitioner with, interventional procedures. Practices aseptic techniques as necessary. Assumes responsibility for the provision of physical and emotional needs of patients during procedures. In accordance with state statutes, prepares, identifies, and/or administers contrast media and/or medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner. Initiates basic life support action when necessary. Assists a licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized interventional radiography procedures. Computed Tomography Specific Duties: Operates computed tomographic equipment and accessories. Selects appropriate programs for desired protocols. Understands methods and is capable of performing venipunctures. Evaluates images for technical quality, manipulates display parameters, and provides hard copy records ensuring proper identification. Maintains archival storage of digitized data as appropriate. Maintains knowledge of and observes universal precautions. Provides patient education. Assists in maintaining records, respecting confidentiality and established policy. Assumes responsibility for assigned areas and reports equipment malfunction. Provides input for equipment purchase and supply decisions. Provides practical instruction for students and/or other health care professionals. Participates in the department's quality assessment and improvement plan. May be responsible for specific quality control duties in the assigned area. May be responsible for the control of inventory and purchase of supplies for the assigned area. Understands and applies patient relations skills. Pursues the appropriate continuing education needed to maintain license or certification. Accomplishes other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Completion of a formal Radiologic Technology accredited program is required. Bilingual and/or English-Spanish speaking is preferred.
