Key Responsibilities: Develops and oversees patient care plans, documenting and communicating patient conditions as necessary. Acts as the primary coordinator among various disciplines to ensure seamless patient care. Implements physician and nursing directives. Evaluates and organizes discharge planning needs in collaboration with the healthcare team. Utilizes evidence-based practices and scientific knowledge to inform nursing care, tailored to the specific age and clinical needs of patients as outlined in the department's Scope of Service. As a nurse, I will uphold the professional nursing standards as defined in our practice model, using the ANA Code of Ethics to navigate the evolving health and nursing needs of our patients. Maintains a constant state of alertness and safety. Performs additional duties as assigned. Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program or equivalent educational background for licensing. Experience: No prior experience necessary. Physical Requirements: Regular verbal communication to convey information. Frequent standing and walking. Occasional lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling items weighing 0-25 lbs. Regular sitting, reaching, and data entry. Frequent visual acuity for near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances, including color differentiation. Regular olfactory recognition for detecting odors. Frequent auditory communication to receive information and recognize alarms or machinery issues. Occasional lifting of objects weighing 25-50 lbs. Occasional patient handling. Occasional bending, kneeling, squatting, twisting, gripping, and repetitive movements of legs and arms. Occasional driving. Rare crawling and running.
