Lactation Educator RN at Providence Health and Services summary: The Lactation Educator RN provides specialized nursing support and education to promote and support breastfeeding among prenatal, inpatient, and outpatient populations at Kadlec Medical Center. This role requires a registered nursing license, breastfeeding experience, and involves updating staff and physicians on current breastfeeding information. The position is part-time with variable shifts and emphasizes compassionate, patient-focused care within a comprehensive healthcare organization. Description Under the general direction of the Unit Manager performs activities to encourage and support breast feeding to Kadlec Medical Center families including inpatients, outpatients, prenatal clients and employees. Shifts Details: part-time, 24 hours weekly, Variable shift Required Qualifications: Coursework/Training: Graduation from an accredited nursing program. Bachelor's Degree Nursing (or higher degree) from an accredited educational institution, or degree in progress. If BSN or higher is in progress, must be completed within 3 years from date of hire. upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License. upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association. 1 year Recent nursing experience, with emphasis on breast-feeding experience. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
