Description:The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
provides high quality patient care in support of Occupational
Medical Services at the Hanford environmental restoration site in
Richland, Washington.Duties/Responsibilities:The Nurse Practitioner
/ Physician Assistant is responsible the following duties: -
Perform physical exams. - Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or
chronic illnesses. - Prescribe all necessary medications and
treatments. - Perform comprehensive physical examinations of
patients. - Develop and implement patient management policies and
procedures. - Facilitate referrals to other healthcare
professionals and medical facilities. - Communicate with
collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient
care.Requirements:The Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant
shall have a minimum of two years of clinical experience in the
provision of general medical services.Clinical experience in
providing Occupational Health services is highly
desirable.Education / Training:The Nurse Practitioner/ Physician
Assistant shall possess a minimum of a BSN from an accredited
college or university. Successful completion of the AHA training in
BLS and ACLS.Knowledge / Skills/Abilities:Must be able to
effectively communicate both orally and in writing.Must be able to
work on an independent basis.Must have ability to build rapport
with patients.Must work cooperatively within a
