Description Kadlec invites all Nursing Students and RN Residents
to schedule a virtual meet and greet with our Nurse Leaders at
Kadlec Regional Medical Center! Kadlec is hiring RN Residents and
wants to meet you! By applying to this posting as a current nursing
student, whether a new student or about to graduate, you will be
invited to virtually meet some of our Department Managers. During
these meetings, we invite you to ask questions that you may have
about Kadlec Regional Medical Center, any of the departments, the
application process, the day in a life of an RN Resident, our RN
Resident program and Clinical Academy, or anything else that is on
your mind! Here at Kadlec, our Residency Program transitions new
graduate nurses into practice emphasizing inter-professional,
collaborative, and patient-centered care. Our comprehensive
specialty curriculum includes online and classroom based learning,
clinical simulation, skills development and unit orientation with
specialty trained preceptors. Our Core Fundamentals program is
designed to support new graduate professional development through

who are poor and vulnerable. As an RN Resident, You Will: As a
Registered Nurse you provide professional, comprehensive nursing
care for patients in an acute care environment. You are also
accountable for the delivery of coordinated, safe, compassionate,
therapeutic, evidence-based quality care to patients and families,
based on individual physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and
appropriate care strategies throughout the lifespan.
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate patient's care
to achieve patient goals and to optimize outcomes.
- Effectively advocate for ethical and holistic care to promote
the autonomy, dignity, rights, values and beliefs of those we
serve.
- Fosters a learning environment for patient/families, nursing,
and other members of the healthcare team including students;
facilitates formal and informal learning for patient/families,
nursing, other members of the healthcare team, and community.
- Accountable for safety, identifies and corrects problems, and
integrates evidence, and best practice into nursing care; uses data
and evidence to improve patient outcomes. Aligns patient safety,
self-safety and environmental safety as equally important for best
outcomes.
- Engages in ongoing professional development; practices to the
top of license within the legal parameters of the Nurse Practice
Act, the Nursing Social Policy Statement, the ANA Code of Ethics
for Nurses, and specialty standards. Promotes a culture of inquiry
that explores, integrates and disseminates research and evidence
based practice.
- Leads and coordinates teams, appropriately delegates,
coordinates care and collaborates with others as equal members of
the inter-professional care team to integrate nursing knowledge.
Models professional behaviors as a representative of the nursing
profession. Minimum Requirements for an RN Resident:
- Nursing degree/diploma upon hire required
- All Registered Nurses without a Bachelor's of Nursing (BSN)
degree or higher must obtain a BSN within 3 years from date of hire
required
- Active Washington State RN licensure required
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS
required
- A recent graduate who has completed pre-licensure nursing
program typically within the last 12 months and/or less than 12
months of direct patient care experience required. Preferred
qualifications for an RN Resident include:
- Bachelors of Nursing degree (BSN)
