Level III Trauma Center 227 Beds

Gastroenterology

o June-December Monday to Friday

o Inpatient and Outpatient

o Average of 16-18 Patients per day

o Required: BLS, BLS, and BC

o ERCP/EUC not required

o Support Staff: 2RNs, 5MAs, 2 Front Office, 2 Referral Coordinator

o Lab, X-Ray onsite 12 Exam rooms

o Procedures:

-Upper GI endoscopy (biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, injection of varices, banding of varices, PEG)

-Esophageal dilatation/manometry

-Small bowel biopsy

-Lower GI endoscopy

-Sigmoidoscopy

-Colonoscopy (biopsy and excision of polyp)

o EMR: EPIC
