Job Description:

Critical Nurse Staffing, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse for the position of Director of Nursing/RN State Administrator to oversee operations in the state of Washington. This position is based out of our Richland, WA office. On behalf of Critical Nurse Staffing, LLC ("CNS" or "Company"), this position is responsible for the coordination, supervision, and training of all licensed nurses, aides, and support personnel in the state of oversight. The State Administrator is also responsible for all aspects of regulatory compliance, licensing, and state government relations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Employee must have regular attendance/punctuality, be able to work with others at all levels of the Company, have exceptional customer service, have the ability to travel up to 30% of the time, work variable hours, and be completely honest. Other assigned duties include: Ensures compliance with government rules and regulations in the state of oversight, and Company policy. Acts as the administrative point person for all regulatory surveys and preparation. Demonstrates leadership in the implementation of clinical accountability reported to the Quality Assurance Committee and Governing Body. Ensures licensed personnel maintain clinical practices at a high company and industry standard. Collaborates on corporate quality and committee initiatives, such as but not limited to; Infection Control, Performance Improvement, Customer Satisfaction, and Safety. Leads Quality Assurance Committee(s) in State(s) of oversight. Ensures competent and sufficient number of employees to meet patient care needs, which includes hiring, orientation, and managing staffing to a changing census. Evaluates employee competency through use of performance reviews and other tools as needed. Ensures that all assigned nurses work no more than 50 (fifty) hours per week. Updates Human resource management recruiting and onboarding system weekly with activities completed to progress candidates through the hiring process. Leads and works in conjunction with the regional and corporate teams to ensure staffing of all patient homes, assigning of tasks and schedules in the electronic medical system is complete. Coordinates admission of new patients within time frame mandated by payor source, ensures completion of 100% of all required admission paperwork. Notifies the appropriate Company departments of admissions, stop care and discharges within the designated time frame. Maintains a monthly average of 95% controllable utilization of skilled and unskilled care hours. Provides direct patient care as described in state regulations for RN, up to 17 hours per month as assigned. Maintains 100% controllable monthly average of DNR and Advanced Directive paperwork. Ensures adequate communication between physicians, families, patient's and in-home staff. Assists with disciplinary action and other Human Resources processes as applicable. Plans and conducts orientation and continuing education for staff to ensure regulatory compliance. Ensures all assigned direct care staff complete in-service training requirements per state regulations and accrediting body. Ensures that new skill training and ongoing competency verification is completed annually. Assists in planning and budgeting for the provision of services. Meets established operational and marketing budget targets. Audits, completes, and monitors or provides follow up for all incident and occurrence reports. Completes transfer and discharge summaries. Completes assigned chart reviews within established time frames. Acts as a resource for the Executive Leadership Team for operational and clinical decision-making. Participates in on-call rotation. Other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has direct supervisory responsibilities for all skilled direct care staff in assigned region. --QUALIFICATIONS: --To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and /or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Required:-- Bachelor's degree in a related field, current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice professional nursing in each state where patient care is supervised, current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification, and at least five (5) years of experience in nursing; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred:--Master's in nursing and at least two (2) years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role in the home health or community health setting. RELATED COMPETENCIES Language Skills:--Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business practices, policies and procedures, professional journals, technical guidelines, and governmental regulations. Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Must be able to accurately and clearly provide guidance and direction to Company staff and employees. Business Acumen:--Through the use of related law and industry data, proactively identify Company risks and institute policies and/or procedures to ensure compliance. Building Partnerships:--Identify opportunities and take actions to build strategic relationships between one's area and other areas, teams, departments, units, or organizations to help achieve business goals. Decision Making:--Identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities; possess ability to analyze data from different sources to draw conclusions; utilize effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions; take action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and probable consequences. Leading Change:--Identify and drive Company and cultural changes needed to adapt strategically to changing market demands, technology, and internal initiatives; examining and implementing new approaches to improve results by transforming Company culture, systems, or products/services. Other Requirements:--Maintain current state licensure. Maintain current liability and malpractice insurance, if applicable. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, & MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS Valid Driver's License Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse with active licenses in the state(s) in which employed and practices. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification for HealthCare workers. Qualifications Education--Required Bachelors or better in Nursing or related field. Preferred Masters or better in Nursing or related field. Experience--Required 5 years:--Experience in nursing Preferred 2 years:--Experience in a leadership or supervisory role in the home health or community health setting Licenses & Certifications--Required BLS RN
