Industrial Hygiene Manager IIIANR Group Inc.--provides long-term contracted staffing support to the US Department of Energy's (DOE) Hanford nuclear environmental cleanup site through our client, Waste Treatment Closure Company (WTCC).--WTCC is a limited liability corporation created by Bechtel National, Inc. (BNI) and AMENTUM.Hanford is the largest nuclear environmental cleanup project in the world, encompassing 586 square miles southeast Washington state. It is the largest undertaking of its kind and one of DOE's most technically challenging cleanup projects. Its construction spans 65 acres with four major nuclear facilities - Pretreatment, Low-Activity Waste Vitrification, High-Level Waste Vitrification and Analytical Laboratory - as well as operations and maintenance buildings, utilities, other support facilities.More than 10,000 employees support the Hanford cleanup mission through contractors and subcontractors.The Hanford site is located immediately north of the City of Richland and adjacent to the Columbia River. The region averages 300 days of sunshine annually and residents enjoy abundant outdoor activities, wine tourism and a low cost of living.PROJECT DESCRIPTIONThe Industrial Hygiene Manager is responsible for implementing the Waste Treatment Plant (WTP) Industrial Hygiene Program for the Low Activity Waste/Balance of Facilities/Laboratory (LBL) facilities.Ensures the adequacy of requirements implementation through assessment and oversight of implementing processes. Manages the development and maintenance of facility hazard identification and exposure assessment programs and is responsible for the execution of Industrial Hygiene monitoring programs. Provides guidance and information to facility staff and WTP and DOE management on emerging issues affecting Industrial Hygiene program implementation.RESPONSIBILITIES, TASKS AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS* Responsible for directing assigned staff, providing industrial hygiene technical support and oversight of the WTP Industrial Hygiene Program implementation.* Provide management oversight of the Industrial Hygiene Program implementation to assure federal, state, and WTP requirements regarding Industrial Hygiene are followed* Manage the development and maintenance of industrial hygiene hazard identification, exposure assessment and control programs* Train and direct subordinate Industrial Hygienists in sampling and assessment methodologies* Remain cognizant of federal and state regulations affecting industrial hygiene* Support comprehensive hazards identification and development of appropriate mitigation strategies* Support development of industrial hygiene training programs and assess program effectiveness* Provide technical guidance to LBL facilities and WTP and DOE management on resolving issues pertaining to Industrial Hygiene Program implementation* Advise facility personnel of required response actions for industrial hygiene hazards anticipated during routine evolutions or process upsets* Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work in order to protect self, others, and the environment* Other duties as assigned?REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS* ?Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or in a science-based discipline such as Chemistry, Biology, Physics or Public Health* Thirteen (13) or more years of work experience with progressive responsibilities in the areas of safety and health regulations, systems, principles and methodologies in industrial and/or chemical operations OR* Nineteen (years) of work experience listed above in lieu of degree* ABIH Certified Industrial Hygienist* Upon reporting, must be able to complete and pass a medical evaluation for badging purposes which includes, but is not limited to ability to pass blood pressure test, bend, twist, pull, push, climb and lift more than 20 lbs.* Must have full mobility and be able to walk on uneven or broken surfacesUS Citizenship is requiredDue to federal government security requirements, we are not able to consider candidates that will require visa sponsorship such as H1-B, F-1 OPT or similar.Primary Work Location: Hanford Waste Treatment Plan construction site near Richland, WA.Standard Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:30 am to 5:00 pm (4 x 10) additional hours may be required depending on work loads.To be considered for this position, please submit your resume no later than 4:00 pm PDT Friday April 30, 2021.ANR Group Inc and their clients are equal opportunity/affirmative action employers.
